Antibiotic medicine
Secnil Forte is an antibiotic and antiprotozoal medicine containing Secnidazole (1 g). It is primarily used to treat various infections caused by bacteria and parasites (protozoa). Primary Uses Vaginal Infections: Used for bacterial vaginosis (bacterial overgrowth) and trichomoniasis (a sexually transmitted infection). Intestinal Infections: Effective against Amebiasis (intestinal infection) and Giardiasis (small intestine infection causing diarrhea). Liver Infections: Specifically used for hepatic amebiasis (amoebic liver abscess). Other Bacterial Infections: Sometimes prescribed for dental infections, urinary tract infections, and infections of the stomach, brain, heart, or lungs.
