Atopic Dermatitis
Tofacitinib ointment (TOFANOL) 2% w/w is a topical medication used to treat mild to moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema) by reducing itching, redness, and inflammation, and also to treat hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) by blocking chemical messengers that cause hair shedding. The ointment functions by inhibiting Janus kinase (JAK) enzymes, which helps to modulate the immune response in the skin and provides relief from symptoms.
