Description

Shytomel (Liothyronine Sodium) is a medicine used to treat a condition referred to as hypothyroidism. This condition in the body causes when thyroid hormones are not produced in enough quantities and if left untreated leads to myxedema. Some symptoms through which patients can use to identify if they are suffering from this condition includes abnormal deposits of dry and waxy materials on the skin, swollen lips, and thickened nose. Liothyronine Sodium is the active ingredient in Shytomel and is a thyroid hormone which is natural-occurring but artificial in form.
